BNB (BNB) price and market data
Exchange token · BNB Chain
Short answer: BNB is the native asset of BNB Chain and the Binance exchange's utility token, with scheduled supply burns. The panel below loads its live price, market cap, volume, supply, and 24h/7d/30d performance from named public sources with the as-of time printed on it. The sections after it explain what BNB is and how it works, without quoting prices that would go stale.
What is BNB?
BNB is the native asset of BNB Chain, a smart contract network closely associated with the Binance exchange. The token began in 2017 as Binance's exchange utility token and now also pays transaction fees (gas) across the BNB Chain ecosystem and settles activity in the exchange's wider product set.
BNB Chain runs a proof-of-staked-authority model: a small set of elected validators, chosen through BNB staking, produce blocks quickly with low fees. The trade-off is explicit. Block production sits with a limited, known validator set, a different point on the design spectrum from Bitcoin's open mining or Ethereum's large validator pool.
How BNB works
- BNB pays gas for transactions and smart contract execution on BNB Chain, and is used for fee discounts on the Binance exchange.
- Validators are elected by BNB holders who stake or delegate to them; the small validator set is what allows fast, cheap blocks.
- Supply has been shrinking through scheduled burns, including the automatic Auto-Burn program, reducing the original 200 million maximum toward a 100 million target.
- BNB also functions on the exchange side for product access, fee tiers, and token sale participation, which ties demand to one company's business.
The risk, in plain terms
BNB's usefulness and price are concentrated in one exchange ecosystem and its regulatory standing, and the chain's small validator set is a centralization risk to understand.

Frequently asked questions
What is the current price of BNB?
The live panel at the top of this page shows the latest BNB price in US dollars, loaded in your browser from the CoinGecko public market API with the CoinPaprika public API as fallback. It refreshes about every two minutes while the page is open and prints its source and as-of time beside the figures. An aggregator price is a market-wide average across exchanges; a single exchange can quote slightly higher or lower at the same moment.
How is BNB's market cap calculated?
Market capitalization is the current price multiplied by the circulating supply, the amount of BNB in public hands as reported by the data source. Where the source publishes total and maximum supply, this page shows those beside the circulating figure so the gap is visible. Market cap values the circulating coins at today's price; it is not the amount of money anyone has invested in the asset, and it moves whenever either the price or the reported supply changes.
Is BNB a good investment?
CryptosEyes does not make that call for any asset. This page publishes market data with named sources and explains how BNB works, so you can judge it against your own research. The risk to understand first: BNB's usefulness and price are concentrated in one exchange ecosystem and its regulatory standing, and the chain's small validator set is a centralization risk to understand.
