At the level of the whole market, this was a flat week sitting on top of a strong month. The market-cap-weighted top-100 aggregate finished the week at +0.30% and the last 24 hours at -0.41%, while the 30-day window stands at +8.36%. Breadth confirms the shape: only 39 of the 99 coins with a 7-day figure rose this week, yet 73 of 99 are up over 30 days. The week, in other words, was a pause inside a broader advance, not a reversal of it. Bitcoin (+1.07% on the week, +7.68% on the month) outperformed the aggregate while Ethereum (-0.13% on the week, +10.51% on the month) lagged the majors on the short window.
The extremes are where the week actually happened, and the two tails behaved differently. Among the ten biggest gainers, four moves carry confirmed or clearly reported catalysts: a payments-network selection (QNT), a mainnet capability launch (NIGHT), an institutional DeFi launch (AAVE), and an ongoing revenue-funded buyback and burn program (PUMP). Among the ten biggest losers, the reported causes cluster around scheduled supply: token unlocks appear in the research for RAIN, ENA and M, and one decline (LIT) followed a competitor's product announcement. Nine of the twenty extremes have no confirmed catalyst at all after research, and this edition says so rather than guessing; several of those coins are simply giving back part of a much larger 30-day gain, which is an observation about the numbers, not an explanation.
Volume separates the liquid moves from the fragile ones. Zcash lost 15.01% on $638.9M of 24-hour volume, a deep market repricing. MemeCore and Canton fell on $0.84M and $10.5M of volume against multi-billion-dollar market caps, so their percentage moves rest on thin trading and can reverse on small flows.
